The Anime Knowledge Codex

About AniCodex

AniCodex is an anime knowledge resource. We write in-depth, evergreen guides: character breakdowns, watch orders, ending explainers, power-scaling debates and series comparisons, so fans can get well-researched answers in one place.

Who runs AniCodex

AniCodex is an independent site, started in 2026 and run by Adil Hussain, its founder and editor. It is not owned by, affiliated with or endorsed by any studio, publisher or streaming service. Every guide on the site is written and edited by one person, which is why the byline on each article is a name rather than a brand. You can reach that inbox at hello@anicodex.com.

How our guides are researched

Facts such as episode counts, studios, air dates, character roles and staff credits are checked against the works themselves and against primary sources: official series and studio sites, publisher announcements and the AniList database. Where a guide makes a judgement call, for example ranking characters by strength or calling one adaptation better than another, it says so in the text rather than dressing an opinion up as a fact.

Guide text is our own writing. Where a page shows a summary adapted from a public database such as AniList, it is labelled on the page. Series and character artwork belongs to the studios and rights holders, and is credited as such. Original graphics are made in-house.

Corrections

Anime facts change: seasons get renumbered, episode counts shift, names get localised differently. If you find something wrong, email hello@anicodex.com and it will be checked against the source. When a guide is revised, the updated date on the page changes with it.

What we are not

AniCodex is nota streaming or download site. We don't host, embed, or link to pirated video or manga. When relevant, we point readers to official, legal places to watch. Think of us as an anime encyclopedia and guide hub, not a player.
