Kohaku

Kohaku is Ishigami Village's best warrior — a girl who grew up in the stone-age remnant of human civilization, who picks up science not as replacement magic but as the most effective tool available, and who defends what she cares about with the same fierce precision she brings to everything else.

Background

Kohaku was born in Ishigami Village, one of the communities that survived the petrification event and the subsequent centuries with no knowledge of the modern world. She trained as a warrior under village standards, where physical ability and combat skill are practical necessities. Her older sister Ruri serves as the village priestess, and protecting Ruri is Kohaku's default motivation. When Senku arrives with scientific knowledge, Kohaku's initial suspicion gives way to tactical appreciation — science is useful, and Kohaku is above all pragmatic. She becomes one of the Kingdom of Science's most reliable field operatives, contributing combat capability that the scientific members of the group cannot replace.
