Alphonse Elric

Alphonse Elric is the gentle soul of Fullmetal Alchemist — a boy whose body was lost to alchemy, his spirit bound to a towering suit of armour as he searches with his brother for a way home.

Background

When the Elric brothers' attempt to revive their mother failed, Al lost his entire body. Edward bound his soul to a hollow suit of armour to save him. Despite his imposing form, Al remains the kinder, calmer of the two — and the moral compass of their journey.
