About Maria

Maria seems to be an arrogant woman who doesn't care about anything and thinks that everything should belong to her without any effort. This is probably due to the fact that she was terribly spoiled by Oliva. Her relationship with him is extremely unusual and disturbing. It is clear that Oliva tries very hard for her, but she does not appreciate it that much. Not only that, she sometimes treats him with total contempt and even treat him as if he's completely worthless. Despite that, she shown several times that she cares about Oliva in her own way. Her behavior may be a result of her own frustration about what happened to her body as Oliva seems to be impossibly forgiving towards her. Despite her arrogance, she knows very well that she is no longer pretty.
