Background

She was the princess of a proud ogre settlement when Clayman's forces — operating through the Orc Disaster — devastated it. The survivors, led by her cousin Benimaru, eventually encountered Rimuru and his growing community, and the decision to join it was both practical and principled: Rimuru offered something worth building. The evolution from ogre to Kijin, made possible by Rimuru's nature as a True Dragon-adjacent being, amplified everything she already was. Her skill in textile arts and weaving magic — which she had developed before the destruction of her home — is not simply cultural preservation. It has direct material and magical applications in Tempest's economy and in producing items with specific properties; the series is interested in the utility of traditional knowledge rather than treating it as decoration. Her combat capacity is substantial — she's capable in magical offense and does not wait for protection — but what the narrative returns to is her role as someone who stabilizes the communities around her through knowledge and presence rather than force alone.
