Suzuha Amane arrives at the CRT TV repair shop as a part-time worker with a bicycle and a cheerful manner — and is eventually revealed to be a time traveler from a future where the world went wrong, trying to reach the past before the window closes.
Background
Suzuha is the daughter of Itaru Hashida (Daru) and a woman from the future, born into World War III and trained as a resistance soldier. She traveled to 1975 first and then to 2010 in a time machine concealed as a satellite on the roof of the Akihabara building where the Future Gadget Lab operates. Her mission: find and retrieve the IBN 5100 computer that can undo the series of events leading to the war. Her relationship with Okabe Rintarou is complicated by the fact that she exists across multiple failed timeline iterations, carrying memories of attempts that did not work and of a Suzuha who sent back a desperate letter describing her regret after reaching the wrong year.

Suzuha's warmth for the lab members is genuine — she loves her father without being able to tell him directly for most of their interactions, which is a very specific kind of weight. Her cheerfulness is not performed, but it coexists with an awareness of how many times the mission has already failed that she does not broadcast. Her anti-establishment opinions about Rounders and SERN are stated loudly and frequently, which functions as both characterization and foreshadowing.
