Tanjiro Kamado is the kind-hearted protagonist of Demon Slayer — a boy who becomes a demon slayer to avenge his family and, above all, to find a cure for his sister Nezuko, the one demon he refuses to give up on.

Background

Tanjiro was a gentle charcoal-seller and the eldest son of a loving mountain family. When the demon king slaughtered them and turned his sister Nezuko into a demon, Tanjiro joined the Demon Slayer Corps — not out of hatred, but out of love, determined to protect his sister and restore her humanity.
