Denji

Denji is the protagonist of Chainsaw Man — an exploited, impoverished teenager who merges with his pet devil to become Chainsaw Man, chasing nothing grander than food, comfort, and a normal life.

Background

Saddled with his dead father's debt, Denji survived by hunting devils alongside his chainsaw-dog Pochita. Betrayed and killed, he was revived when Pochita became his heart — granting him the power to transform into Chainsaw Man. Recruited into Public Safety, he finally gets the basic comforts he never had, at a terrible price.
