1. Sukuna — the calamity the whole story exists to answer

The King of Curses spends most of the series as a passenger; the final act shows why four hands and twenty fingers of him were feared for a millennium. Heian-form Sukuna stacks everything: invisible slashing techniques (Cleave and Dismantle) that require no hand signs, flame arrows, a Domain — Malevolent Shrine — that breaks the rules by having no barrier while keeping its guaranteed hit, and the battle IQ of someone who has never needed allies. 2. Gojo Satoru — the strongest of the modern age

Gojo is what happens when two bloodline miracles coincide: Limitless (manipulating space at the level of infinity) and the Six Eyes that make its cursed-energy cost trivial. Neutral, he's untouchable — the Infinity stops attacks before contact; offensively, Blue, Red and Hollow Purple weaponise attraction, repulsion and their annihilating fusion; and Unlimited Void floods minds with infinite information until they stop. His Shinjuku duel with Sukuna — Infinity versus World-Cutting Slash, domain against domain — is the power-system writing peak of modern shonen. The one thing he could never beat was being one man against history.

3. Kenjaku — a thousand years of preparation

The series' true villain: an ancient sorcerer who survives by stitching his brain into new bodies, carrying each body's technique forward — including, most horrifyingly, Geto's Cursed Spirit Manipulation and a stolen life as someone's mother. Kenjaku's power isn't a single technique but compound interest: centuries of arsenals, Domain access, and plans (the Culling Game, the merger with Tengen) that treat all of Japan as an experiment. Yuta Okkotsu is the strongest of the new generation on paper: cursed energy reserves that dwarf Gojo's, a Copy technique that lets him borrow any technique he's touched, and Rika — the queen of curses — as a familiar. His final-war gambit is the darkest choice any hero makes in the series. Yuji spends the story as "just" a physical monster whose fists strike the soul — then the ending reveals the design: Death Painting blood manipulation, echoes of Sukuna's own techniques, and the role of the vessel built to receive everything. 6–8. Maki, Toji, Hakari — the rule-breakers

Maki and Toji share the same cheat: Heavenly Restriction, trading cursed energy entirely for a body that outruns perception — sorcery's hard counter, since barriers and domains barely register them. Toji soloed the Gojo of ten years ago; post-tragedy Maki becomes his second coming and dismantles the Zenin clan. 9–12. Megumi, Choso, Jogo, Mahito

Choso, eldest Death Painting brother, wields Blood Manipulation with 150 years of technique and becomes the story's most unexpected big brother. Jogo — Shibuya's volcano — traded blows with a bored Gojo and still incinerated a city block scale of curses; Sukuna himself acknowledged his spirit.
